20 years studying how humans communicate.
Now applying that to AI.
My background is in human language and how people express ideas. I taught both spoken and written communication to adults for over 15 years, hold a Master's Degree in Second Language Acquisition, spent years as an IELTS examiner evaluating thousands of real conversations, and published research on how technology can shift the way people give and receive writing feedback.I've been at the intersection of humans, language, and technology for over a decade. For the past several years I've been applying that same lens to AI, designing prompts, evaluating outputs, and exploring what it actually means to communicate with a language model rather than just use one. What I bring:
Language analysis · Prompt design · AI output evaluation · Conversational AI · Human-centered communication · Second language acquisition · Content strategy · Teaching & training
Substack · YouTube · Podcast
An ongoing public experiment in using LLMs for communication. Essays, unexpected findings, and real working sessions with AI, published since November 2025.
Three real working examples of how I evaluate and refine AI outputs: detecting hallucinations, designing megaprompts for consistency, and correcting tone drift. Shows my process for treating AI as a structured collaborator, not an autonomous writer.
A conversation about how I use LLMs as thinking partners, not content generators. Covers prompt chaining, hallucination detection, tone calibration, and why the interactive nature of large language models is what makes them genuinely useful for communication work.
A published series for indie podcasters on using LLMs as a thinking partner for discoverability. Covers episode titles, show notes, audio chapters, YouTube timestamps, keyword strategy, and the most common mistakes people make when they let AI do too much.
A hands-on session for podcasters on using ChatGPT to generate episode titles, show notes, and podcast descriptions. Focused on practical prompting techniques for better, faster copy.
Mic's Podcast Club · September 2024
A conversation with one of audio's most recognized voices, covering AI tools and techniques across the full workflow: scripting, production, show notes, social media, and promotion.
Cloud Power: Shifting L2 Writing Feedback Paradigms. Journal of Global Literacies, Technologies, and Emerging Pedagogies · 2014
Peer-reviewed action research on how technology shifts communication dynamics between humans. The foundation of a career spent at the intersection of language, people, and emerging tools.
I'm available for full-time or contract roles in conversational AI, language evaluation, or AI communication training.
